A Sunday night in august saw the fringe elements of Bury SAC converging on Devils bridge for a BBQ and night dive. The fires were lit and by 9pm the food was almost half cooked. Having already had a quick dip in trinks the gauntlet was thrown down to dive. Neil and Evelyn were sporting a Bowler hat and huge Brazier, Pete and Duncan were drysuited with others wetsuited. This left Ian who had turned up after the feast with a quandary. Did he dive in a wet suit or suffer the indignity of knowing that I had already dived in trunks.

As a result we both ended up going in trunks which were then removed once in the water. After posing bottoms up we started our al fresco dive. At 21oC the water was quiet warm (to start with). We woke up the sleeping trout whilst making sure our assets were out of bait range. The eels were out as we passed the 26minute mark and mike, who was quite shocked at our stunted manhoods!

We surfaced to re fit out trunks and exited on the first Bury SAC nude dive.

Future plans are for a surprise hover at 6m to terrify the trainees at Capenwray acting as a build up for a Wastewater exposure at greater depth!
